Joyce E. Rambadt age 81 of Sturgis, Michigan went to be with her Lord and Savior, early Monday evening June 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 7, 1936 in Shipshewana, Indiana daughter of the late Ralph and Nellie (Haan) Howard. Joyce graduated from Brighton High School in Brighton, Indiana, valedictorian of the class of 1954.

She was a member of the Sturgis Evangelical Church and was instrumental in founding Pregnancy Helpline in Sturgis. Joyce enjoyed playing cards with the same euchre club for over 60 years. She also enjoyed traveling to the beautiful area of Gatlinburg, Tennessee and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joyce was united in marriage to Stanley Rambadt on November 26, 1955 who survives along with her two sons: Steven (Diane) Rambadt of Hilliard, Ohio and Mitch (Sheryl) Rambadt of Elkhart, Indiana; grandchildren: Jeffrey (Brookelyn) Rambadt, Tori (Danny) Vegueria, Lexi (Kenny) Hall and Brianna Rambadt; three great grandchildren; brother: Ralph W. Howard, Jr. of Spartanburg, South Carolina; sister: Janet (Keith) Smith of Huntington, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Wayne Howard. Special appreciation to Laura Soule for her selfless giving of her time, care and compassion. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at the Sturgis Evangelical Church, 28201 E. Fawn River Rd.
