Frederick William Hull age 63 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Wednesday evening July 18, 2018 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born January 12, 1955 in Grant, Michigan son of the late Dean D. and Hilve (Hendrickson) Hull. Fred resided most of his life in the Sturgis area and was a graduate of Lakeland High School in LaGrange, Indiana with the class of 1973.

He was currently employed by… Read More » Precision Speed in Sturgis and had also worked at Dexter Axle. Fred had a true love and appreciation for automobiles. He enjoyed working on cars and even totally restoring them.

He loved going to car and bike shows where he was known by many as Young Santa. He is survived by three sisters: Darlene Hull, Mary (Randy) Davis and Alice (Steve) Easterday all of Sturgis; two brothers: Paul (Phyllis) Hull of Howell and Dan (Mary Holley) Hull of Sturgis; nieces and nephew: Faith Merkle of Utah, Jana (Tom) Alvarez of Fort Worth, Texas, Rob (Katie) Davis of Marquette, Corinne (Nick) Ponstein of Grand Rapids and Courtney Strang of Beckley, West Virginia. Fred was great-uncle to Savannah Bowen, Aidan and Alexis Alvarez, Peyton, Paige and Drue Davis, Molly, Jacob and Brody Ponstein.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother: Velma Maude (Graybiel) Hull and brother: Wayne Hull. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the Fish Lake Bible Church, 25108 Banker Street, Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Fred Hull will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the church.

The Rev. Tim Brondyke will officiate. Private burial will take place at the Bronson Cemetery in Bronson.
