Gatt Webb age 79 of Sturgis, Michigan a wonderful husband and amazing father passed away Monday morning, September 10, 2018 at his home. He was born March 12, 1939 in Tunica, Mississippi son of the late Frank and Charity (Milton) Webb, Sr. Gatt resided in Sturgis for over 50 years coming from Helena, Arkansas. In 1967 he married Grace (Sample) Griffin.

He also had owned and operated G&G Pitt BBQ in Sturgis. He was an active dedicated member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed sharing his faith and help with others. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, working outside and listening to Blues music, especially BB King.

Gatt will be remembered as a man that immediately became a friend to everyone he met. His smile, sense of humor, hospitality, generosity and humility will be missed by all. He loved his wife, family and his creator Jehovah and looked forward to the hope of the resurrection through Jesus Christ.

He was loved by all. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 35 years: Sharon; his children: Derrick (Michelle) Webb of Sturgis, Leah (Angelo) Campos of Sturgis, Warren (Shelah) Palmer of Sturgis, Jeffrey (Phyllis) Keesling of Highland, Jon (Sara) Clark of Paris and Lepolean “Donkey” Sample of Sturgis; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; twin brother: Frank Webb, Jr. of Niles and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Greta (Webb) Johnson; granddaughter: Michal Charity Webb; six brothers and sister-in-law: Eddie Mae Webb.

In accordance with Gatt’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sturgis. Mr. Ron Marshall will officiate.

The Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements. The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Webb’s memory consider the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 69820 S. Nottawa Rd. , Sturgis, MI 49091.
