M. Lorene Pittenger age 95 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Tuesday evening July 10, 2018 at the home of her son in Sturgis. She was born July 4, 1923 daughter of the late Thomas and Nishia (Stroup) Dixon. Lorene resided most of her life in Sturgis.

On September 11, 1942 she married Jay R. Pittenger in Petersburg, Virginia. He died January 1, 2010. Lorene retired from the Harter Corporation in Sturgis following many years of dedicated employment.

She is survived… Read More » by one son: Thomas (Dixie) Pittenger; three grandchildren: Timothy, Tracy (Doug) and Tiffany (Robert); four great grandchildren: Damon (Elyssa), Paige, Vanessa and Allen; one sister: Frances (Herbert) Boyd and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and four sisters. A private graveside service and burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
