Joyce Ellen Reffitt Purvis, 61, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Windsor Care in Mt. Sterling.

Joyce was born in Sandusky, OH on February 2, 1957 to the late John and Mary Crockett Reffitt. Joyce was a native of Salt Lick where she was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing Bingo, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and cooking, especially baking for family whom she dearly loved.

Joyce also enjoyed poking fun at those she cared about. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include; one daughter, Michelle Brown (Randall) of Mt.

Sterling; three grandchildren, Michael Brown and Audrianna Brown of Mt. Sterling and Isabella Sain; great niece Addison Maze; sister in-law Patricia Anderson and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael Miller Purvis; one grandson Christopher Brown; five brothers John Reffitt, Tommy Reffitt, Willie Reffitt, George Reffitt and Heary Reffitt and two sisters Geneva Thompson and Maudie Kook.
