Joyce F. Lett, 78, of rural Plymouth passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center with her loving family beside her. Joyce was born on September 13, 1939 in Sheboygan County, a daughter to the late Wilmer and Dorothy (Taylor) Mentink. She attended elementary school in Adell and graduated from Riverview High School in Plymouth.

On January 10, 1959 she was united in marriage to Charles Lett whom she met while roller skating in Sheboygan. She was a secretary for a few businesses in Sheboygan and following their move to Washington D.C. was secretary to Congressman Norblad and Congressman Wilke. She was also a secretary at a tooling company in Maryland.

Upon their return to the Plymouth area she worked for United Feeds and Ottery Trucking until her retirement. Joyce enjoyed crocheting and was a kind and generous person willing to lend a helping hand if needed. Joyce is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles; a daughter, Pamela Carlson of Plymouth; a son, Ron (Teresa) Lett of Elkhart Lake; grandchildren, Lisa Carlson and Nicole Lett; great grandchildren, Caleb Lawrenz and AiJada Williams; her sister, Donna; sister-in-law, Ruth and brother-in-law Robert.

Nieces and nephews further survive. Joyce was preceded in death by a daughter. Deborah Lett, sisters, Ellena DeZwarte and Violet Gloede and brothers-in-law, Russell Lett and Stanley Lett A funeral service for Joyce will be held 3 PM, Friday, September 14 at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Service with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Family and friends may gather at the funeral home, 123 South St., Plymouth on Friday from 1 PM until the time of service at 3 PM. Memorials in Joyce’s name are preferred. Joyce’s family would like to extend their deep appreciation and gratitude to the staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Their compassion and support will be remembered.
