Anniston – Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Gail Spears, 75, will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Spears was born on February 15, 1943 in Anniston and died on July 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Spears is survived by her six children, Teresa (Mike) Jones, Lisa President, Rita (Don) Bradford, Patricia Bell, Melinda Wood and Jerry W. Spears; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace (John) Paine and Joe Hayes; five brothers, Albert “Sonny“ (Nancy) Henderson, Eli (Carolyn) Henderson, Kenneth (Debbie) Henderson, Gary Henderson and Larry (Peggy) Henderson; and one sister-in-law, Diane Spears. Mrs. Spears was a member of the Rock Baptist Church in Anniston and the Ladies Auxiliary, Bynum Post 155.

Mrs. Spears is preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Jerry G. Spears; her parents, Albert T. and Buella Louise Harris Henderson; one granddaughter, Kristie Jones; one brother, Johnny Henderson; four sisters, Earlene Johnson, Pauline Buckner, Sharon Haynes and Scooter Echols; and one son-in-law, Greg Bell.
