Joyce Fett, age 88 of Grand Haven, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at home. She was born May 12, 1929 to the late John and Jennie (Kouw) Hoffman in Holland, MI. She attended Holland High School and finished early in order to care for her eight siblings after her mother passed away at a very young age.

Joyce was married to Walter Fett on June 3, 1948 in Holland and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2015 after 66 years of marriage. She had been employed by General Electric in Holland for 25 years, prior to her retirement. Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends over a good cup of coffee which was always on.

She loved traveling, especially to Nevada during the winter months. Joyce was an avid bowler in her younger years, and was also a good card player, namely euchre. She and Walter were long time members of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jinny (David) Schultz of Grand Haven, and sons; Tom (Karen) Fett of Norton Shores, Tim (Jeanne) Fett of Grand Haven, Doug (Cathy) Fett of Ferrysburg; her grandchildren, Tracy, Chad, John, Natalie and Paul; and great-grandchildren, Blake, Jenna, and Logan. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Grace Hoffman; brothers-in-law, Richard (Marion) Fett, Chuck (Darlene) Fett, Jim (Joan) Fett, Gene (Phyllis) Fett, Gary (Ruth Ann) Fett, and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, four sisters, and four brothers.

The Funeral Service for Joyce will be at 11:00 am, Monday, April 23, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Kurt Wenzelburger officiating. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
