Obituary for Joyce M. Kraft Joyce M. Kraft (nee Mohritz) Resident of Utica Entered into Life on July 29, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Jeanette (nee Elzerman) Mohritz. Entered into Eternal Life at the age of 90 on May 30, 2018 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. A 1945 graduate of Utica High School, two years later she married the love of her life Norman W. Kraft on June 28, 1947.

They spent 53 years of marriage until Norman’s passing in 2000. A life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church – Utica. A secretary for many years at Beck Insurance Agency-Utica.

One of her many accomplishment was her involvement in the City of Utica as a City Council Member and Mayor Pro-tem from 1988-2011 and Secretary of the Utica Cemetery. She volunteered her time at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital- Clinton Township. Joyce enjoyed golfing, bowling, quilting, crafting, cooking, baking, traveling, but especially spending quality time with her family.

Beloved wife of the late Norman W. Kraft Sr. Loving mother of Norman (Rhonda) Kraft Jr., Diane (George) Geisler, and Terri (Henry) Criscuolo. Proud grandmother of Dale (Suhani) Wallace, Ryan (Becky) Wallace, Andrea (Michael) Seaton, Andrew Criscuolo, and Kevin (Anna Rotondo) Geisler. Dear great-grandmother of Anabelle, Alexa, Mackenzie, and Emery.

Sister of the late Kenneth Mohritz and John Mohritz. Visitation at the Wm Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica Friday 2-8pm. Instate Saturday 10am at Trinity Lutheran Church 45160 Van Dyke (at Hall Road) Utica until time of service 11am.
