Joyce P. Lyman June 21, 1932 – January 31, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Joyce Patricia Lyman, 86, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Brookdale of Hutchinson. She was born June 21, 1932, in Granger, Washington, to Floyd and Violet (Cox) Lyon. Joyce graduated from Granger High School, Granger, Washington, and then attended college.

She worked as a bookkeeper and accountant. Joyce was a member of Grace Bible Church, Hutchinson. On February 4, 1958, she married Arthur Fredrick Lyman in Portland, Oregon.

She was a devoted military wife, living in many places, including Germany, Texas, and Oklahoma. Arthur died December 19, 2012. Joyce is survived by: son, Steve Lyman (Rosanna) of Dallas, TX; daughter, Toni VanWey of Hutchinson; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sons, Bruce Lyman, Paul Johnson; daughter, Vickie Corcoran-Glover; grandson, Jeremiah Lyman; and sisters, Verna and Alberta. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Bart Horton officiating.

Private inurnment will take place in Burrton Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Grace Bible Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
