Joyce’s Obituary Joyce Marie Steele, 74, of Lake Charles, LA passed away on January 24, 2019 in a local care center. Joyce was born on March 28, 1944 in Grand Chenier, LA to Eraste Joseph and Nolia Broussard Montie. Joyce grew up in Grand Chenier and was a graduate of South Cameron High School.

Joyce went on to earn her Bachelor Degree in Accounting from McNeese State University. She worked for several years with various companies as an accountant. Joyce loved to cook, especially her crab stew with brown gravy.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Eraste and Nolia Montie, and her sisters, Velma Trahan and Beverly Quarles. Those left to cherish her name are her son, Michael Robinson, her brother John (Janice) Montie and her sister, Wanda Fay (William Green). The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home on January 28, 2019 from 9AM-10AM.

A funeral mass will held at St. Eugene Catholic Church at 11AM officiated by Rev. Clyde Thomas. Burial will follow at St. Eugene Catholic Cemetery.
