Joyce E. Shilling, age 89, of McDonald, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018. Born December 24, 1928 in McDonald; she was the daughter of Howard J. and Josephine E. (Wiggett) Coles. Joyce attended Evansville Baptist Church and was a former member of McDonald Baptist Church.

She loved antiques, especially jewelry; she also loved to travel with her husband and spend time with her family and friends. She had a deep abiding faith and love for Jesus. Survivors include her children: Thomas (Gerda) Shilling, Paul Shilling, and Brenda (Dave) Noel; grandchildren: Jonathan (Sandy) Noel, Lisa (Aaron) Fockler, Tommie, Jason (BJ), and Justin (Brook) Shilling; great-grandchildren: Raegan, Corbin, Isabella, Gabe, Taylor, Domenic, and Sophia; a sister Donna Hodgkinson, and brothers Maynard and Richard Coles.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Warren Shilling, a brother Clarence Coles, and daughter-in-law Debra. Friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel on Thursday from 4-7PM; where services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10:30AM with Chaplain Neil Appell officiating. Burial will take place at the Liberty Union Cemetery in Girard.
