Juanita “Susie” Bryan, 77, of Newport, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Carteret Health Care. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, officiated by Reverend Tim Marriner. Interment will follow at Amariah Garner Cemetery.

In years past, Susie attended Glad Tidings Church. She is survived by her sister, Rebecca Simmons Moore, of Newport; brother, Ralph Lee Simmons and wife, Anne Simmons, of Newport; niece, Madelene Moore Lewis and husband, Eddie Lewis, of Newport; nephew, William H. Moore and wife, Joy Moore, of Morehead; great nieces and nephews, Kelley Lewis Gabriel, Daniel Edward Lewis, Rebecca Moore Hilley, Amy Moore Grooms, William Calvin Lee Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Bryan; mother, Lena Simmons; father, Malcolm Simmons, Sr.; sister, Mary Lou Rice; and brothers, Malcolm Simmons, Jr. and Linwood Simmons.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City. Flowers are welcome. Online condolences may be made at www.
