Judith Ann Johnson, 77, of Fishersville, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Augusta Health. She was born on October 24, 1941, in Eagle Rock, a daughter of the late William and Ruth Hayslett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Elbert Johnson; daughter, Vicky Floyd; brothers, Kenneth and Michael Hayslett and a sister, Nancy Reynolds.

Survivors include a brother, Harvey Hayslett of Longdale; daughter, Debbie Frazier (Jeff) of Waynesboro; sons, Samuel Johnson and Richard Johnson of Fishersville; grandchildren, Sandra Griffin (Jeremy), Teresa May, Beth McLean (Jim) and Amy May (Jason); great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Avery Griffin, Tristan Snyder, Samantha, Raegan and Alexandra McLean, and Andrew Dameron and numerous nieces and nephews. “Judy” retired from Western State after 27 years of service. She really enjoyed all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren but had a special bond with Tristan and Andrew.

The family will host a celebration of Judy’s life on Saturday, February 23rd, from 12 – 4 PM, at the Woodman of the World in Waynesboro. The family also wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Augusta Health for their love and care during this difficult time. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in “Judy’s” memory to the Augusta County Relay for Life.
