Hazelrigg, age 76 of Oakhurst, passed away at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch on Tuesday January 22. 2019. She was born in Long Branch, attended Asbury Park High School, Glassboro State College, and Graduated from Kean University.

She received her MSW from Rutgers University. She taught at Search Day School, was a special education teacher in the Ocean Township schools, worked for Jersey Shore Medical Center as a clinical Social Worker, and continued in her private practice untill her death. Judith is survived by her husband of 55 years Robert, her brother Richard Cattelona, her son and his wife, Robert Jr. and Vita, her daughter Anastasia and her husband Douglas Meder, and her son John.

She had eight grandchildren whom she treasured: Taylor Hazelrigg, Kaitlyn and D.J. Meder, Sarah, Victoria, Rose , Emily and Abigail Hazelrigg, Joevaan Lopez, She was predeceased by her sister Marie Carmean. She loved to read, paint, play Mah Jong, and be with her friends and grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday January 27th at Buckley Funeral Home at 509 2nd Ave.

Asbury Park from 3PM to 7 PM. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church of the Assumption in Deal Monday at 10:30 AM. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Ocean Township Historical Museum.
