Obituary for Judith L. Swayne (Bookhamer) Judith L. ‘Judy’ Swayne Oct. 24, 1942- July 20, 2018 Judith L. “Judy” Swayne, 75, Tyrone, died Friday at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of the late Bernard and Charlotte (Smith) Bookhamer.

On July 20, 1963, she married Joseph A. Swayne at the First English Lutheran Church, Tyrone, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2016. Surviving are two sons: Brian L. and wife, Tracy, of Tyrone, and Matthew L. and wife, Janice, of State College; three grandchildren: Adam and Lauren Swayne and Chelsea Smith and husband, Doug; three great-grandchildren: Layla and Emilyn Smith and Liliana Swayne; and two sisters: Janet Watson of Huntingdon and Joyce Kobuck of Warriors Mark. Judy enjoyed painting, dancing, listening to 50’s music and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, July 23, 2018, at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, the Rev. Carl A. Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park.
