Judith Renee Powers Kilby, age 69 of Lansing, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Kilby was born in Ashe County on July 5, 1949 to the late John Staley Powers and Lorene Powers Eller. Mrs. Kilby is survived by: her husband, Charles Kilby; two daughters, Patricia Fore and husband Kevin of Galax, VA and Susan Kilby of Lansing; also surviving are several cousins.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Tom Vestel. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Monday, February 24, 2019 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. The family respectfully requests no food or flowers please. Memorials may be made to the Ashe Heart Fund, c/o Sandy Roten, P.O. Box 132, Lansing, NC 28643 or the Lansing Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
