Obituary of Judith Burton BANGOR – Judith L. Burton, 82, died December 23, 2018, at an Orono health care center. She was born January 28, 1936, in Bangor, Maine, daughter of Arlene (Albee) Morrill and Ralph Waldo Morrill. Judy grew up in Bangor, attended Bangor schools and worked a short time at Bangor Mental Health Institute and then was a homemaker.

She was a very talented knitter and crocheter making many afghans, sweaters, hats and she was very generous in giving them for all to enjoy. She always enjoyed gatherings of family and friends be it for a meal or a celebration of a holiday or birthday. She was predeceased by her first husband, Bernard E. Collins, in 1960, and her second husband, Harold E. Burton, in 2013.

Surviving is one daughter, Kathlyn J. Grover, of Glenburn, Maine; three grandchildren, Karen Collins, Nicholas Grover and Lindsay Grover and five great grandchildren. Judy is also survived by three sisters, B. Elissa Durando, of Bangor, Ellen Gay, of Tennessee and Jeanine Lavigne and husband, Laurent Lavigne, of Bangor as well as several nieces and nephew and cousins. Interment will be in the spring in Bangor.
