Julia Evans, 69, of Grand Mound, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, July 16, 2018, at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt. Julia was born September 4, 1948, to Cleo and Mary Rae (Schmidt) Ryan in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1966.

Julia married John “Jack” Evans 1998. The couple resided in Grand Mound. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her sisters and her grandchildren.

She also enjoyed camping, baking, antiquing and going to the boats. She is survived by her husband, Jack; her children, Michael (Jolene) Adams of Delmar, Chris Adams of Grand Mound, and Jerrie (Mike) Bringle of Des Moines; grandchildren, Aleisha Adams, Scott, and Steven (Nicole) Adams, and Jacob, Luke, and Halle Bringle; great-grandson, Owen Adams; sisters, Linda Salyars, Becky Duffield, and Nita Bickford; brother-in-law, Lenny Hefel; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sue Hefel and Connie Roth; brother-in-law, Don Salyars; and niece, Julia Foote.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound. A Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in DeWitt.
