OBITUARY Julia E. Schulz November 23, 1928 – September 19, 2018 Julia E. Schulz, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Marion Township, near Hoagland, IN, to the late Oscar and Anna Doctor. Julia was a homemaker and loved caring for her family.

She was one of the original members of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Julia was also a member of the Appleseed Quilters Guild, and Patchwork Artists Quilt Club. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golf.

Julia was a docent at Fort Wayne and Allen County Historical Museum for 16 years and helped to start the Gingerbread Festival at the History Center. She enjoyed Geneology and was the family historian. Surviving are her loving husband, Edmund A. (Husband) Schulz of Fort Wayne, IN; children, Linda L. Butler of Fort Wayne, IN; Garland Dene (Nancy) Roby of Fort Wayne, IN; Gerald L. (Sandra) Roby of Fort Wayne, IN; John F. (Judith) Roby of Sarasota, FL; JoAnn M. (Michael) Pullen of Columbia City, IN; Liz (John) Rudy of Downers Grove, IL; sister, Doris Rathert of Ohio City, OH; 16 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren and counting and several step- grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Julia was preceded in death by her, brothers, Aaron and Clinton Doctor, sisters, Selma Hans, and Vesta Lee. Service is 10:30 am, Monday, September 24, 2018 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane with calling one hour prior with Pastor Meuter officiating. Calling also Sunday, September 23, 2018, from 5 – 8 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN.
