Obituary for Julie A. Toenjes Julie A. Toenjes of Millstadt, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 25th, 2018 at her home in Millstadt, Illinois. She was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on November 30th, 1960. She was the beloved wife/partner of Jerry Rauscher for 20 years.

Julie and Jerry never married, because they still liked and loved one another. Many people could not grasp the love they had for one another. The only ones who could understand it were the kids, because they understood that their love was so completely unconditional.

For when Julie gave her love, it was all or none. She was the loving mother and step-mother of Sarah (Lou), Chad (Courtney), Angie, Ben (Kelly), Michael, and Meredith (Eric). Julie was the cherished grandmother of Tyler, Robert, Jack, Ryan, Laney, Josh, and Avery.

There are some very special people that Julie considered her friends, along with a vast number of extended family members and co-workers. For each and everyone who reached out to help Julie in her very trying time will always hold a special place in our family’s hearts. We need not name names, because our family knows who you are, and you will never be forgotten.

Friends do things like that, because they are the friends who never kept count of their doings to help a friend in need. For this is something that she wished the whole world could learn. Julie loved her job at N.G.A., because they gave her a chance to excel and explore all of the vast possibility of things that she could learn and master.

Julie gave her all to each new task that she was assigned to. She went above and beyond to get her co-workers everything that they needed to complete their mission at N.G.A. Julie and Jerry loved to travel far and wide, but her biggest passion in life was her family and her flowers. Julie retired in February, but cancer never gave her a chance to experience it.

She fought a very hard battle with cancer that she could not overcome, but that is okay with us, because she was ours, and she will forever be our hero. Julie wished to be cremated, and there will be no viewing. Julie’s final wish was to have a memorial service and a huge retirement party, mixed together, to help celebrate her life and to keep her memory alive in each of you.

Everyone will be notified when this happens. A special thank you to Family Hospice of Belleville, for all of their care and support of Julie. Right now, Julie is busy soaring the heavens with her granddaughter, Laney, and making stops to see other family members who proceeded her.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Give the Kids the World Village, 210 S. Bass Rd. , Kissimmee, Florida 34746. For more information, please access our website, www.
