Obituary for Julie Detwiler Julie Detwiler, age 80, of Spring Lake, formerly of Elyria, OH and Laurens, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 15, 1937, in Buckhorn, KY to Harlan and Elsie Moore. Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Detwiler and her brother, Earl Moore.

Julie worked for 40 years as a mental health nurse, retiring to Spring Lake to be close to her son, Brett (Missie) Detwiler; grandchildren: Geramy, Brooke, and Austin Detwiler; she is also survived by her sister, Janice (Tom) Garver of Springfield, OH; and brother, Estill (Jenny) Moore of North Lewisburg, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. Julie loved spoiling her grandchildren, was a collector of many things, loved traveling the world, quilting, and loved watching all classic movies. She will be remembered as an angel on earth that lived, laughed, and loved unconditionally.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice for their care and kindness, with a special thanks to her nurse, Ashley. Memorial contributions to Harbor Hospice of Muskegon are appreciated.
