Obituary for Julie Lucille Leamon Humbert Julie Lucille Leamon Humbert, age 88, a resident of Delano, passed away Saturday evening in a Athens, Tennessee health care facility. Mrs. Humbert was the daughter of the late Bessie Elizabeth Morrow Swafford and John Franklin Swafford. Her first husband, Robert L. Leamon, her second husband, Bill Humbert, her grandson, Russell Mark Leamon, her daughter in law, Mary Catherine Leamon, her sisters, Minnie Bell Swafford, Laura May Crittenden, Anna Marie Culberson, Becky Colbaugh, Margaret Jerene Brooks and Viola Faye Swafford and her brothers, John Henry Swafford, Burley Jake Swafford and James Arnold Swafford also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Humbert was an accomplished seamstress and she worked in clothes manufacturing for most of her life. She enjoyed sewing, working in her vegetable garden, cooking, canning and baking. She was affectionately by her family and friends as the “Brownie Lady”!

Mrs. Humbert was of the Christian Faith. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Steele, her son, Robert Daniel Leamon Sr. both of Delano, her grandchildren, Angela Leamon Boyd, Cheryl Leamon Perry, Robert Daniel Leamon Jr. and Wendy Steele Childers, her 8 great grandchildren, her brother, Burch Taylor Swafford and his wife Beverly of Athens, Tennessee, a special nephew, Timothy Ray Colbaugh and his wife Sandy and numerous more nieces and nephews also survive. The Remembrance of Life Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 10:00 A. M. at the Calhoun First Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mason Holliday officiating.

Mrs. Humbert’s nephews will serve as casket bearers. The family request in lieu of flowers, Memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Dr. #22, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421. The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
