September 16, 1965 ~ May 13, 2019 Our beautiful wife, mother, grandma, and friend, Julie Malcolm O’Dell, passed away on May 13, 2019 at the age of 53. Although we are extremely saddened and heart broken, we are comforted to know she has reunited with her beloved parents, Morris Keith and Lois Fern Malcolm. Julie was born on September 16, 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Julie was described as a very adventurous little girl that always seemed to find mischief. From an early age, she was strong-willed, determined, and had a desire to experience life to the fullest extent. Julie loved traveling, music, history, but most of all her family.

The happiest times of her life were being a wife, mother, and grandma. Julie is survived by her Husband, Kieth O’Dell, and her children, Eric (Tina), Devin (Laura), Brianna (Jared), Katie (Tanner), Austin (Raquel), Sabrina, Belle, Jordan, Gavin, and Ashton; and her 4 grandchildren, Ashlee, Michelle, MaKayla, and Odin; and her beloved friend Terri. She was the kind of person to always put others first.

She would never leave the store without purchasing something for someone she loved. She held her family on the highest pedestal, they could never be anything but perfect to her. She dreamed of a life where her family could all be together, happy and healthy.

She left an imprint on the heart of everyone who knew her. Julie’s passion to help others carried over into her professional life. She worked as a social worker for the State of Utah for many years before pursuing her dreams of becoming a nurse.

She graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2004. Julie was an incredible person and will be greatly missed by so many. A celebration of life will be held in her honor on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Arbor Manor, located at 2888 West 4700 South Salt Lake City, UT 84129 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
