Obituary for June Florence (June) Emerson, 95, of Goose Rocks Beach, Kennebunkport, died on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Kennebunk Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born in Millburg, MI, on June 1, 1923, a daughter of Howard and Frances (Coble) Reber. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School and South Bend College of Commerce.

For the last ten years, before retiring, Mrs. Emerson worked for Central Jr. High School in Hingham, MA. She and her husband retired to Kennebunkport in 1988. Mrs. Emerson was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Kennebunkport Historical Society.

She was a past Sunday School teacher and Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the Good Cheer Club since 1990. Mrs. Emerson was devoted to her husband, daughters, and grandchildren, and had a great love for animals and birds.

Mrs. Emerson is survived by her husband, C. Ripley Emerson, Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Vicki Hagopian and her husband, Ronald, and Mrs. Diane E. Holm and her husband, Gregory; three grandchildren, Jennifer Jenkins, Kristen Seibold, and Matt Holm; and one great grandchild, Talon Jenkins. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the First Congregational Church, North Street, Kennebunkport with the Rev. Jim Henry officiating.

Interment will follow at Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport.
