Obituary for Richard “Richie” Carson Richard “Richie” Carson, 53 years old, left this world suddenly on June 14, 2018 in Wells, Maine. Richard was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on August 17, 1964 to Carol (Jablonowski) Carson , deceased, and Donald Joseph Carson. Richard attended schools in New Jersey before moving to Cape Neddick, Maine in 1978.

Richard had many talents, and early in his life worked hospitality jobs at the Cliff House in Cape Neddick, and The Sir Francis Drake in Moody. Richard drove a cab in Boston for a few years and worked various construction jobs, painting, carpentry and masonry, until he finally found the work he loved, long-line fishing, and later, lobstering. Richard was at home when out to sea, and fished extensively along the east coast from Maine to Florida, down to the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.

Richard met people from different cultures, and made friends wherever he traveled. Richard was known to tell fantastic stories about his adventurous travels, and had a terrific sense of humor. Richard is survived by his father, Donald Joseph Carson and siblings, Mary Helen Foster, Margie Carson and “Donnie” Carson; two nephews, Scott Foster and his partner Michelle; and Nicholas Foster and his partner Karla; two nieces Abigail Carson and Madalynn Gagne; three great nieces Uma, Makayla and Kloey Foster; many cousins, aunts, and uncles and former in- laws “Ricky” Foster, Marcel Gagne and Bethia Carson.

Richard will be missed by his family and friends. His time with us was short, however his time here included many adventures that some only dream about. The Carson Family plans a Memorial Service at a future date, and requests friends, family, and the community remember ‘Richie” by making a donation to York Hospital Recovery Program.
