Obituary for June Elaine Mink June Elaine Mink, age 92, of Joplin, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at National Health Care in Joplin. June, daughter of the late Jess and Marie Lorenzen, was born on October 26, 1926 in Sioux City, IA. She was united in marriage to L.J. Mink in 1977, who preceded her in death on December 24, 2007.
June was previously employed by Ramseys in Carthage and Joplin before she went to work for State Beauty Supply. She was a member of the Countryside Church in Jasper. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, puzzles, knitting, crocheting and farm life.
Survivors include one son, Bruce Butcher, and his wife, Carol, of Jasper; three daughters, Glenna Russell, of Joplin, Sue Ann Foraker, and her husband, Louis, of Webb City, and Christine Thornton, and her husband, Steven, of Jasper; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Butcher; two brothers, Buddy and Leighton Lorenzen; and two sisters, Carol Hulce and Lucille Perley. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin.
