Wignall, 96, of Traer, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer with Pastor Brice Hoyt officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the care center.

Interment will be held at 1:15 PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Buckingham Cemetery in Traer. June was born on July 15, 1922, in Stoddard, WI, the daughter of Harold and Edna (Lund) Rooker. She graduated from Traer High School and the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls with the two-year teaching certificate.

On June 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Robert Wignall in Clermont, IA. June had taught third and fourth grade in Clermont. After Robert died in 1977, she went to nursing school at Marshalltown Community College.

June received her LPN, and was a nurse at Sunnycrest Care Center in Dysart until her retirement. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Traer, Iowana Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary. June enjoyed traveling, shopping, collecting, and reading magazines.

Survivors include her children, Zoe Ann Wignall of Traer and Craig Robert Wignall of Altoona; one sister, Lois Adamek of Sacramento, CA; nieces and nephews, Patty (Stan) Podhajsky of Iowa City; Paul Wignall of Dallas, TX, Jim (Maria) Adamek of Costa Mesa, CA, Judy (Steve) Chamow of San Mateo, CA, and Vicki Mongan of Roseville, CA. Preceding her in death were her parents and husband. A memorial fund has been established.
