Carolyn Marie (Webber) Woodworth Maas June 15, 1947 – December 03, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Carolyn Marie (Webber) Woodworth Maas, 71, of Toledo, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 at Magnolia Beach, Texas. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 4-6 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Carolyn was born on June 15, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Esther (Coffin) Webber.

She attended Columbus High School and Waterloo East both in Waterloo, Iowa. Carolyn was married to Ernest Walter Maas, Jr. from 1963 until 1969. She then married Luallen Woodworth on July 4, 1970.

He passed away in 1997. Ernest and Carolyn were remarried November 17, 2009 until her passing. Carolyn worked at the Iowa Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown for over thirty years as a Resident Treatment Worker and at the time of retirement she was a Supervisor at Heinz Hall.

Carolyn was politically active and involved in AFSME. She was proud to have attended Clinton’s Inauguration. She was a great cook and catered a lot of weddings.

Carolyn loved to camp and fish. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Maas of Toledo; children, Cindy (Tim) Nyce of Marshalltown, Randall Maas of Toledo, Jason Woodworth (Corenne Grimes) of Leonardtown, MD; step-children, Tim (Rebecca) Maas of Dallas, TX, Mellisa (Steve) Harmon of Matthews, NC, Melody (Tom) Julian of Athens, TX, Jeannette (David) Kerr of Waverly, and Becky (Jerry) Lathrop of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Nicholas (Mandi) Maas, Derrick (Danielle) Backen, Julia (Tyler) Green, Dylan Maas, Kyle (Brittany) Maas, Hannah Woodworth, and Brendan Woodworth; five great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Luallen Woodworth; step-daughter, Robin Allen; siblings, Robert Webber, James Webber, Dorothy Beaman, Mary Catherine Jordan, and David Webber. A memorial fund has been established.
