Cody Len Ealy March 27, 1984 – February 14, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Cody Len Ealy, 34, of Marshalltown, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his home. The visitation will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life from 6-7 PM will be held at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama at a future date. Cody was born on March 27th, 1984, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Garlan and Cindy (Bidwell) Ealy. He graduated from South Tama High School in 2002 and attended Hawkeye Community College and Marshalltown Community College.

Cody started working shortly after high school at Emerson-Fisher Controls in Marshalltown. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Atlanta Falcons fan. Cody was a sports enthusiast and spent his childhood attending many Iowa Hawkeye games at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.

His love for sports was also shared with memories of shooting hoops and playing football with his nephew Hayden. Cody loved being an uncle and he spent much of his time playing video games with Hayden and Peyton. He especially loved finding Moon Keys with his niece Peyton who he cherished.

Cody loved to golf and spent a lot of time playing in best ball tournaments with his family and friends. One of Cody’s favorite moments were the times when all his family would get together. Survivors include two brothers, Ryan (Heather) Ealy of Waukee, and Brandon Haughey of Waterloo; one nephew, Hayden Ealy; one niece, Peyton Ealy; his Godparents, Willy & Missy Haughey of Tama.

Many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding him in death was his mother, Cindy Ealy, grandparents, Bette and Leonard Bidwell, and Neil Ealy. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
