Delores Maxine Rohach October 23, 1930 – February 04, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Delores Maxine Rohach, 88, of Tama, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at Unity Point Health-Grinnell Regional Medical Center. It was Delores’ wish to be cremated and that there be no public services. Delores was born on October 23, 1930, in rural Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Karl and Goldie (Hand) Miller.

She graduated from Tama High School in 1948. Delores was married to Louis Rohach Jr. from 1950 until 1979 when they divorced. Delores worked in various restaurants in the Tama-Toledo area.

She also babysat, worked at the Tama Bakery, Ben Franklin, Montgomery Ward, Meskwaki Bingo, Cropmeat Fertilizer in Tama, and Bohemian Mutual in Toledo. Delores was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and American Legion Auxiliaries. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Pepper, doing crossword puzzles and loved to dance.

Delores also really loved to cook. Survivors include four children, Luann Kithcart (Jim Pansegrau) of Tama, Mike (Diana) Rohach of Garwin, Nick (Lisa Ann) Rohach of Tama, and Rick (Alicia) Rohach of Tama; son-in-law, Brian Hempy of Montour; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jean Posusta of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Jean Miller of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; former husband, Louis Rohach Jr.; her longtime companion, Warren Roth; daughter, Barbara Hempy; grandson, Trent Rohach; Son-in-law, Keith Kithcart; two brothers, Earl (Pat) Miller and Lloyd Miller; and brothers-in-law, Larry Posusta, and Joe Rohach.

A memorial fund has been established.
