Obituary for June Ruth “Tootie” Tillman TILLMAN, Mrs. June Ruth “Tootie” – age 82, passed away, Thursday, June 21, 2018 at her residence. Graveside Service Monday, June 25, 2018 Time 11:00 AM at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and Pallbearers will assemble directly at the Cemetery.

June was born on February 19, 1936 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the proud parents of the late Grace Mott Hardiman and Clyde P. Hardiman. As a small child she was given the nickname “Tootie” and carried that name on throughout her adult life. She accepted Christ at an early age but rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized by Elder Kenneth Duren at Pentocostal Church of God in 2006.

June was a Certified Nurse Assistant for more than thirty years at the former Bloomfield Hills Nursing Care Center. She enjoyed rollerskating, softball, riding a bike and playing cards just to name a few activities. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Tillman leaves to cherish her memory children, Nelda R. Tillman of Auburn Hills, MI. , Jean D. “Necie” Tillman of Pontiac,MI, Lyndia D. (Lonnie) Barnes of Detroit, MI, Cornelious Tillman, Jr. of LaVergne, TN and George P. (Vera) Tillman of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three sisters, Jessie Lewis, Joyce Quin and Jean Jones all of Pontiac, Michigan; two brothers, Derl (Susie) Hardiman of Ypsilanti, MI and Willis Hardiman of Waterford, MI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Tilman was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelious Tillman, Sr. grand-daughter, Quanitra U. Tillman; seven brothers and two sisters.
