Junior Edward Little, age 89, of Taylorsville passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 24, 1929, the son of the late Garland Fess and Eva Jane Gant Little. During his career, he worked at Bethlehem Realty as a carpenter and was a member of Hickory First Church of God.

Junior was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to all. Junior also enjoyed working with his hands whether it was woodworking or in the garden.

He was always working on something. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers; four sisters; and best friend Dexter Deal. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 70 years Mary Ruth Bowman Little; children Wanda Rugg & husband Norman, Pam Barber & husband Jimmy, Johnny Little & wife Debbie R., and Donna Woodring & husband Randy; sister Blondell Cline & husband Clay; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 1:30 pm – 3:15 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with the Dr. Michael Hone officiating. Burial will follow at Old Pisgah Cemetery in Bethlehem.

Donations may be made to the Building Fund at Hickory First Church of God at 306 14th Street SW; Hickory, NC 28602. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral & Cremation Service. Condolences may be sent to www.
