Mr. Junior Fortenberry, 81, of Dalton, GA died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Chatsworth Health Care. He was born in Bartow County, GA on February 24, 1937, son of the late Henry and Stella Fortenberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Claudine Griffin; and a brother, Douglas Fortenberry.

Mr. Fortenberry served in the United States Air Force. He retired as a truck driver of 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Symatha Fortenberry of Dalton, GA; his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Frankie Blanton Sr. of Calhoun; grandkids, Nicole Croy of Kansas City, MO, Frankie Blanton Jr. of Calhoun, and Josh Croy of Calhoun; and great-grandkids, Lyra Croy, Ashley Blanton, Elizabeth Blanton, and Adalynn Blanton.

Mr. Fortenberry’s body was cremated. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
