She was born on January 7, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa to the late John and Myrtle (Drake) Magnuson. Karen was a longtime resident of New Mexico and served her country proud in the United States Navy.

She will be deeply missed. Karen is survived by her sons, John D. King and wife Elenita of Edgewood, NM and Randolph C. King Sr. of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Kimberly Durkot and husband Michael of Antioch, Il and sister, Marilyn G. Daley. Karen was blessed with 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers are John King, Elenita King, Randolph King Sr., Randolph King Jr., Nicholas King and Alisha King.
