Karen Jo Widen, age 64, died peacefully Friday afternoon January 4, 2019 at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Karen is the mother of Jamie (Rebecca) Widen of Altoona; the grandmother of Jordan Parsons, Tanner Widen and Abigail Widen all of Altoona; the sister of Linda Gale Smith of Des Moines, Mindy (Harold) Perreault of East Bridgewater, MA; Vince Ratliff of Des Moines, Rick (Nancy) Hacker of East Bridgewater, MA, Larry (Cathy) Hacker of Rumney, NH, and Mark Hacker of East Bridgewater, MA. A memorial visitation with the family will begin at 4 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 12th at O’Leary Funeral Services in Norwalk.
