Obituary of Karolyn Wilson Karolyn R. Wilson of Monticello, a retired assistant manager for Dix Drugs in Monticello, departed this life on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the age of 77. The daughter of the late Lucretia Bonner Williams and LeDrew Hankins, she was born October 6, 1940 in Fairhope, AL. At the age of 12, she came to Monticello where she spent the majority of her life.

She was a student at St. Peter’s School, Monticello High School and Sullivan Co. Community College. She was also employed at Monticello Central Schools. She was predeceased by her husband: Frank T. Wilson; her mother: Lucretia B. Williams; her father: LeDrew Hankins; her stepfather: Fred Williams; her daughter: Stacy Ann Wilson; and grandson: Matthew T. Williams Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters: Allison L. Smith of Monticello, and Tammy J. Williams of Wappingers Falls; her grandson: Alexander G. Smith of Monticello; her “brat”: Aisha L. Allen; and her “baby” Jason J. Allen – she was their “Nana”. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, July 2 from 11am to 12pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 1:00pm at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello.
