Obituary for Katherine Jane “Kass” Kreiser Katherine Jane “Kass” (Bates) Kreiser, formerly of Jonestown, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Cedar Haven. She was the wife of the late Leroy A. Kreiser, Sr. Born in Green Point on January 24, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Harry Bates and Mary Weaver Bates Folmer. Kass had worked as a seamstress at the former Dutch Maid.

She had attended the Moonshine United Zion Church. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family, especially cooking for them on Sundays. She is survived by her son LeRoy A. Kreiser, Jr., and his wife Roseann of Jonestown; daughters Barbara A. wife of William Shultz of Fredericksburg, Diana M. wife of Jeffrey Waltermyer of Jonestown and Gail L. wife of Tim Simpson of N. Annville; step-sister Betty Lou Folmer Hancock of Lebanon; grandchildren Derrick, Jared (Kirsten) and Katrina Shultz, Angela (Shane) Peirce and Julie (Jesse) Drabenstadt, Ryan (Lindsey)and Randy (Amy) Waltermyer, Travis (Kristen) and Nathan (Lacey) Simpson; great grandchildren Hailey & Trevor Peirce, Quinn, Alivia, Ava and Ahna Simpson, Rebecca and Riley Shultz, Owen, Bryn and Addison Waltermyer, Lucas and Mason Drabenstadt, Hannah and Noah Waltermyer and Parker Livering.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Edgar and Clifford Bates and sisters Beulah Kreiser and Irene Bates and her step-father Rufus Folmer. The family would especially like to thank the staff and employees at Cedar Haven and Compassionate Care Hospice for their kind and loving care during their mother’s stay. A viewing will be held beginning at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt.

72 & Camp Meeting Rd. , Jonestown. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, N. Annville Twp.
