Kathleen A. “Kathy” Chafetz (nee Keho), 68, of Sheffield Lake, formerly of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday April 12, 2018 at Manor Care Health Services in North Olmsted, following a long illness. She was born July 25, 1949 in Amboy, Illinois and had resided in Lorain County since 1994. Kathy received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University and worked as a substitute teacher for North Ridgeville City Schools.

She also formerly worked as a legal secretary in New York City. When her daughter was younger, she was very involved in the Band Boosters, the PTA and she was a Girl Scout leader. Kathy was a member of the North Ridgeville Corn Festival committee for many years.

She is survived by; her daughter, Kaitlin Ghzaiel (Aymen) of Sheffield Lake; and by her brother, Kelly Keho (Theresa) of Akron. She was preceded in death by; her Husband, Larry Chafetz in 1993; and by her mother, Mary Keho (nee Eisenrich) in 1976. A private service will be held by the family.

Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is serving the family.
