Kathleen’s Obituary Kathleen A. Bowen, age 71, of Brooklyn Center, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Cambria Presbyterian Church in Cambria, with Pastor Penny Johnson and Reverend Richard Pippert co-officiating. Burial will follow in the Preri Bach Cemetery in Cambria.

Visitation will be held from 9 – 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cambria Presbyterian Church. To leave an online condolence, or to sign the guestbook, please visit: www. mvfh.org Kathleen is survived by her mother, Viva Bowen of New Ulm; and her sisters, Karen Harder of Courtland and Diane (Richard) Pippert of Tiffin, IA; her beloved dog, Macie; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon, and a brother-in-law, Roger Harder. Kathleen Ann Bowen was born on March 16, 1948 in New Ulm to Gordon & Viva (Lloyd) Bowen. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1966.

Kathy then attended the Minnesota School of Business, graduating in 1968. Kathy began her career as a medical secretary at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She then was a legal secretary for Art Ogle in Mankato, and later moved to the Minneapolis law offices of Briggs & Morgan.

Kathy was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi in Mankato, and was a member of Preceptor Alpha Alpha, where she had attained the Master Degree, which is the second highest degree. She enjoyed playing cards and dominos, crocheting and crafting. Kathy will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
