Kathleen Marie Haley, 67, of Edinboro, died Friday, October 12, 2018 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. She spent her career helping others, and her life laughing with and enjoying family. Born in St. Mary’s, PA on November 15, 1950, Kathleen was the daughter of Vivian and John Crum.

She graduated from Cameron County High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University. Her social work career spanned many years at the Erie County Office of Children and Youth, the Erie County Area Agency on Aging, and Pleasant Ridge Manor. Family was her joy, from pinochle at home with toddlers on her lap, to vacation traditions in North Carolina’s Outer Banks and Michigan’s Au Sable River.

She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, volunteering for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, family feasts, novels, and wry humor – which lives on in her children. She was preceded in death by her father, John Crum and her brother, John Sanderson. Survivors include her mother, Vivian Crum; her loving husband of 43 years, William; a daughter, Dr. Kathryn (Dr. Eric Janson) Haley, of Grand Rapids, MI; a son, Matthew (Emily) Haley, of Grayling, MI; sister-in-law, Sharon Sanderson, of White Lake, MI; two brothers-in-law, Mark (Claire) Haley, of Hopewell, VA and Daniel (Mary) Haley, of Sand Point, ID.

Friends may gather at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. A service will be held at 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O.
