Kathryn’s Obituary Kathryn H. “Kay” Unrath, 96, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019. She was born in Little Suamico on June 1, 1922, as one of 13 children, to Valentine and Rose (Speener) Plouff. Kay married Webber Unrath on October 4, 1948.

They celebrated 50 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in January of 1999. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Kay loved to spend time with her family and was so excited to meet her first great-grandchild.

She was a longtime member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Green Bay Yacht Club, where she was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary. Kay and Webb enjoyed many years of boating on the waters of Green Bay, where they made wonderful memories and lifelong friends. They later found pleasure in camping and were members of the Bay Sammers Camping Club.

After retiring, they enjoyed spending winters in both Florida and Arizona. She is survived by her children, Ken (Mary) Unrath and Kathy (Paul) Long; grandchildren, Mark (Jennifer) Unrath, Kaitlyn and Nicole Long; great-grandson, Drake Unrath; sisters, Pat (John) Collen, Rose Mary (Tom) Quevillon; brother-in-law Richard Kellerman; many nieces, nephews and friends She was preceded in death by her husband, Webber; her parents; grandson, John Unrath; brothers, Valentine Plouff Jr., Victor Plouff, Donald (Berdie) Plouff, Vernon (Margaret) Plouff, Bernard (Mary) Plouff, David Plouff; and sisters, Thelma Kellerman, Edith (Rueben) Aerts, Caroline (Frank) Simoens, Frances (Robert) Stammers. Friends may call at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1350 Bond St., from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.

The service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the church. Entombment will take place at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences can be shared at www.

BlaneyFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Kay’s name. The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff of Woodside Manor, where Kay received such loving care over the years.

They also thank the staff of Unity Hospice for the kind compassion in Kay’s last months.
