Kathryn Kay De Priester Colip, November 21, 1933 — February 09, 2019

Kathryn (Kay) De Priester Colip, 85, passed away at StoryPoint Memory Care, in Saline, MI, on February 9, 2019. Kay was the daughter of the late Merle and Carol Griffith De Priester of South Bend, IN. She was also predeceased by a brother, Kenneth De Priester.

Prior to retirement, Kay was employed for many years as an executive secretary for Noddle Companies, in Omaha, NE. She was held in the highest regard by her employers, quite literally possessing the keys to the firm due to her steadfast loyalty, work ethic, and trustworthiness. But it was family that Kay centered her entire life around.

She cherished her role of being a mom and grandmother, regarded her family as the most important and enjoyable part of life. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted partner and best friend of many years, Robert (Bob) Seifert, of Ann Arbor, MI; her sister, Janet De Priester Thomson, of Jackson, MI; her son, James Colip and wife, Linda, of Roanoke, VA; and her daughter, Deborah Colip Hendricks and husband, Dr. Terry Hendricks, of Porter Ranch, CA. She will also be forever remembered by four beloved grandsons, Dr. Matthew and wife, Marayd Hendricks, of Seattle, WA; Kyle Hendricks, of Denver, CO; Grant Colip, of Harrisonburg, Virginia; and Weston Colip, of Roanoke, VA.
