Kathy Wilkowski February 02, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kathryn Ann “Kathy” Wilkowski, age 76 of Oklahoma City, passed away February 2, 2019, at St. Anthony’s, surrounded by loved ones. Kathy was born on August 13, 1942 in Oklahoma City to parents Jack and Almeda Heaslet. As a young girl she enjoyed horseback riding and participating in shows and parades with her papa.
She attended Sacred Heart grade school, followed by Mount Saint Mary’s High School, where she graduated from in 1960. After graduating she married the love of her life, John Wilkowski. They made their home in Oklahoma City.
The union blessed them with four children, Cheryl, John, Robert, and Thomas. She spent most of her life as a home maker, and took great joy in caring for and feeding her family delicious home cooked meals. Kathy had a wide array of interests.
Over the years she took up tinkering with and collecting dolls. She made many wonderful dolls, and was gifted in repairing dolls for others. She was an avid fan of Dr. Pepper, and collector of Dr. Pepper memorabilia.
She also loved Norman Rockwell artwork, and collected commemorative spoons. For a short time Kathy and John made their home in Purcell to be near family, before returning to Oklahoma City in 2008. She was a deeply devoted follower of Christ.
Kathy was a long time member of the Sacred Heart Church, and The Saint James Catholic Greater Church in Oklahoma City. She was also a member of the Infant of Prague Guild, which brought her many years of fellowship and enjoyment with friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother who always put the needs of others above those of her own.
She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in Death by Her parents, Almeda Ragsdale, Jack Heaslet; Brother, Mike Ragsdale; And her daughter, Cheryl Ford. She is survived by Her Husband, John Wilkowski of Oklahoma City; Her Brothers, Mark Heaslet and wife Jan and Jerry Heaslet and wife Glenda of Conway, Arkansas; Sister in law, Wanda Ragsdale of Chandler, Oklahoma; Sons, Johnny Wilkowski of Oklahoma City; Robert and wife Kate Wilkowski of Pueblo, Colorado; And Tom Wilkowski of Oklahoma City.
Grandchildren, Charlotte Lambert, of Purcell, Oklahoma; Gordon Ford Jr. of Norman; Mary Witten and husband Matthew, of Purcell, Oklahoma; Gregory Ford, of Oklahoma City; Dale Corpron, and wife Chisato of Austin, Texas; Rebecca and husband Bret King, of Murrysville, Pennsylvania. Great grandchildren Juliette Lambert, Sawyer Lambert, Alec Corpron, Brea King, Baily King, and Braden King. Also, several loving nieces, nephews, cousin, and a host of friends.
