Obituary for Katy Haynes FORT WORTH – Kathryn Anne Withers Haynes, “Katy”, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed into the arms of Jesus peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Born Feb. 17, 1944, in Dallas, Katy spent the first years of her life on “the farm” in Lancaster, later graduating from Highland Park High School in Dallas in 1962.

While a student at the University of Texas, on a weekend at her family’s retreat at Koon Creek, she met her future husband, Grady, an Aggie, at a night on the town in Athens, Texas. Katy was preceded in death by her father, John T. Withers, III; her devoted mother, Frances Withers; grandmother, Shelly Mae Boyles, and mother-in-law, Dixie Haynes. She is survived by husband of 53 years, Grady; children, Amy Kathryn Perry and husband, Tony, Anne Tidwell and husband, Glenn, Grady, and Mandy Spitzer and husband, Jesse; grandchildren, Madelyn, Alex, William, Ben, Julie, Jonathan, and Zach; and brothers, John and Jim Withers.

Katy was devoted to the Word of God and knew that her highest calling was to pour her life into her husband and children. She will be forever remembered for her hospitality and welcoming home. “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, he praises her”.
