Obituary for Barbara Ann Benton Barbara Ann Benton, born August 20, 1942, passed away peacefully at Eastland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was born in Gorman, TX to Clyde and Emma Lou Benton. She lived most of her life in Eastland County.

She married Roy Thackerson and had 2 sons, Rex and Albert. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Albert. She is survived by her son, Rex Thackerson and wife Mary of Colorado City, TX.

Barbara has 5 grandchildren, Matt Thackerson, Lisa Wells, Roddy Thackerson, Tara Thackerson, and Jami Halfmann. Barbara also has several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her 2 sisters, Corynne Levens of Comanche and Nancy Lowrance of Eastland; uncle, Roy Byrd of Eastland; aunt, Sue Garret of Iowa Park; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
