Keith D. Lawrence, 58, of Cambridge City, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, December 18, 2018 at his residence. A son of Don G. and Bernice Patricia Holloway Lawrence, Keith was born in Marion County, Indiana on September 25, 1960. He attended Seymour High School and following his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

An Airman on the USS Eisenhower, he specialized in aircraft maintenance. Following his discharge in 1984, he moved to this area for residence. On February 11, 1997, he was married in Covington, KY to Cheryl Newton.

Mrs. Lawrence survives. Employed at Visteon where he completed the apprenticeship program, he worked as a journeyman electrician. After Visteon closed and prior to his retirement, he worked at several jobs in the area.

A talented artist and guitarists, he was known for playing music throughout the area. Survivors besides his wife include his children: Kaylee Lawrence and Jeremiah “Jake” Rose and wife, Kallie; two grandchildren: Lyla and Axl Rose; two sisters; three brothers; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Military rites will be conducted by the Fayette County Veterans Council at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in West Side Cemetery at Milton.

Memorial contributions may be directed toward Kaylee’s education fund.
