Neal Keith Stratton, 51, of Collins, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Keith was born April 21, 1967, in Nevada the son of Ronald and Margaret (Maxwell) Stratton. He graduated from Collins-Maxwell High School in 1985 and from DMACC as a Diesel Mechanic.

On December 19, 1987, Keith was united in marriage to Dian McDermott at the Collins United Methodist Church in Collins. Keith served several years on the Collins City Council and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

He could often be found hanging out in his garage with his friends and family. Keith is survived by his wife, Dian of Collins; his daughter, Mackenzi (Trever) Birchmier of Maxwell; his son, Jake Stratton of Collins; his parents, Ronald (Margaret) Stratton of Collins; his brothers: Dennis (Nancy) Stratton of Collins, James “Craig” Stratton of Collins and Ronald “Wayne” (Eva) Stratton of Davenport; and his sister, Karen Stratton of Collins. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 27 at the Collins United Methodist Church in Collins.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 28 also at the church with The Reverend Douglas Harding officiating. Burial will follow at Collins Evergreen Cemetery in Collins. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell is handling arrangements.
