Obituary for Keith Rounds Keith Rounds, 76, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died at his home on October 22, 2018. A lifelong Wyomingite, he was born on October 8, 1942 in Rock Springs and grew up in Antelope, a railroad section, and Granger before moving to Laramie and then Cheyenne. Cecil and LaPriel Rounds were his parents.

He was proud of his long-time association with the Wyoming Department of Transportation, where he worked as Public Affairs Officer and Secretary to the Wyoming Highway Commission. After his retirement, he spent 14 years as Doorman for the Wyoming House of Representatives and worked as Secretary for the Wyoming Scottish Rite. His penchant for humor and cowboy poetry led him to perform at various locations in Wyoming and Colorado, and he never met an audience he didn’t like. He authored The Ride, a compilation of his cowboy poetry. He was a devoted family man, an avid hunter and camp cook, and a decent woodworker.

Keith was active in many community organizations including an almost 10 year stint on the Laramie County School District No. 1 Board of Directors, Wyoming Press Association and WyHy Credit Union Board. Much of his time was devoted to Masonry as a member and Past Master of Acacia Lodge # 11, A.F. and A.M., 33rd Degree Mason in Wyoming Consistory #1, as well as a Scottish Rite and York Rite Mason.

He also was a Shriner in the Korein Temple and a member and Past President of the Cheyenne Shrine Club. He is survived by his wife, Linnea; daughter, Paula (David) Novick; grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Rounds and Destry and Dylan Novick; sisters-in-law, Delphine Holota and Renee (Todd) Claeys; nieces and nephew, Melanie Holota and Zacharie and Alexandra Claeys; and goddaughter, Whitney Painter. He was preceded in death by son, Daniel; brother, Clark; and his parents.

Honorary pallbearers are Morgan Rounds, David Novick, Todd Claeys, Ben Painter, Al Young and Bart Sheldrake. A Scottish Rite Rose Croix and Masonic funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
