OBITUARY Kelly Fleming December 18, 1956 – December 2, 2018 Ralph “Kelly” Fleming was born in Petersburg, VA on December 18, 1956 to Ralph Wallace Fleming (Severa) and the late Alice Richardson. Kelly lost his fight with Cancer on December 2, 2018, surrounded by his family at the age of 61. He was a poetic man of strong faith who loved God, his family, and especially his grandchildren.

Kelly was the owner and operator of Kelly Fleming Electric since 1986. He was loved dearly by all. Kelly impacted many lives through his church, his business, and youth sports.

He was known for his heart, his humor, and his brilliance. He will be missed dearly by his wife of 32 years, Carrie Fleming. They enjoyed summers at the beach and his family’s home in Surry, VA.

There were many joyous years spent atop Family Ridge where he spread his love with selflessness. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Marie Harris (Tom), Steve Fleming (Jan), Todd Fleming (Elizabeth), Gwen Ledbetter (William), and Pam Hensley (David); His children Robbie Fleming (Kaleena), Christy Robinson (Ashley), and Tommy Bourland; heart warming grandchildren Gregory Blazer (Maddie), Ashlynn Blazer, Emerson Fleming, and Parker Fleming. Kelly cherished his years coaching and playing softball with his “ball team buddies”.

Kelly’s favorite past times were football, Nascar, his garden, and family game night. His love had no end. He was “Paw Paw” to many.

A service celebrating Kelly’s life will be held at Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday December 6th. Visitation will begin at 1pm immediately followed by his service at 2:30 with Pastor Simmons officiating. Garrett Funeral Home is caring for the Fleming family.
